We would like to invite you to the 32nd VRWA Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition. This year will be a new experience for all and promises to be a great event.
Due to COVID-19 health concerns and restrictions, our annual conference will be held virtually. This gives you many great options as an attendee. We will have our live sessions from Tuesday, April 20 to Thursday, April 22. There will be 3-4 sessions each day, so as to allow you flexibility to still attend to your regular work responsibilities. In addition to our live sessions, the sessions will be recorded and available to all registered attendees for 30 days beyond the event (May 21). This will allow you to receive even more CPEs that usual or attend the classes that might be scheduled simultaneously. Please see our tentative class schedule for further information about classes and topics. There are classes appropriate for Water, Wastewater, Management, Safety, and Source Water.
We will also be offering our regular Monday class virtually in two sessions, Monday, April 19. VRSA will be teaching a variety of ideas dealing with safety and management at the workplace. There will be an AM session from 9AM to 12PM and an PM session from1PM to 4PM. Below is the tentative Monday class schedule. You can earn 3-6 CPEs
Protecting Employees from Internal and External Threats: Strategies for Keeping the Workplace Safe
9am-11am: Active Shooter/Workplace Violence Response and Prevention
11am-12pm: Crisis Communications
1pm-2pm: How to Have Difficult Conversations
2pm-3pm: Corrective Action and Termination
3pm-4pm: Professional Behaviors in the Workplace
Also during conference, we have a time for awarding those that have done a great job and helped promote "Quality on Tap". We ask that you take some time to consider who you know that deserves to be recognized. Please send in your nominations for awards and recognition.
See you in April!
